For over 40 years, CAPTAIN has been providing programs that address the core issues facing our society today, including homelessness, poverty, youth violence, hunger, academic failure, family dysfunction, and human trafficking. CAPTAIN approached and continues to approach these issues through numerous programs and services.

As a volunteer-driven organization, CAPTAIN CHS strives to be a recognized leader in finding effective solutions to social issues in the communities we serve.

How Can We Help?

• Karyl’s Kupboard Local food pantry located in Clifton Park/Halfmoon has seen a 76% increase in demand, particularly for children who used to be able to count on a school lunch 5 days a week.
• Through Cheryl’s Lodge in Halfmoon Heights, CAPTAIN aims to serve over 800 meals a week to children out of school and in need.
• CAPTAIN can purchase food at just $0.19/lb, so while food & hygiene donations are of course appreciated & welcome, so too are monetary donations. Click here to donate online today.
• Crescent ACE Hardware will have a tote/bin available for collection on-site at the store. Every time we fill up a bin and drop it off at the pantry, Crescent Ace will donate an additional $25.00 which will provide over 130 lbs of food.
